‘It was a love thing’: Wyoming couple died in suicide pact, family says

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — The deaths of a husband and wife in their Wyoming home were the result of a “suicide pact,” James Emmert’s mom and stepdad said.

Emmert, 34, and his wife Tiffany Emmert, 29, were found dead around 6:30 p.m. Jan. 21 in the home they shared on Wyoming’s Berkley Avenue SW.

According to their death certificates, both died of a gunshot wound to the head. The Kent County Medical Examiner ruled James Emmert’s death a suicide and Tiffany Emmert’s a homicide…
