Driver charged after car crashes into Clinton home

CLINTON, Tenn. (WATE) — One person was charged after a car hit the front porch of a Clinton home, according to the Clinton Police Department.

CPD told 6 News that around 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9, a white Chevy Impala left Clinch Avenue and struck the front porch of a home, where the car came to a rest. A photo of the car shows two pillars of the porch knocked down and the brick wall damaged.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured, but CPD said the 24-year-old was arrested and charged with driving while their license was suspended and no insurance. No one inside the home was injured either.
