‘Our future’: Free teen space now open in Eaton Rapids

EATON RAPIDS, Mich. (WLNS) – A new space for teens is now open in Eaton Rapids, aiming to give students a safe, free space to go before or after school—and it’s the result of millions of dollars in state funding.

“We always say here at Teen Space, if they are our future, if these kids are our future, they need to be our focus in the present,” said Grace Fannin.

The space is located directly across the street from Eaton Rapids High School. After securing more than $3 million in state funding, program director Grace Fannin says local students now have a safe, fun, and free place that’s just for them.

“We have had 60 students enroll since our opening day,” said Fannin. “We have over 200 currently enrolled, and our average daily attendance has been 63.”…
