Commonwealth’s Attorney Gerina Whethers speaks out against judge’s decision to reject jury’s recommended 65-year sentence for violent offender

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The state’s top prosecutor for Jefferson County said her office agreed with a jury’s decision to send a young violent offender to prison for 65 years.

But Circuit Court Judge Tracy Davis rejected the jury’s recommendation and cut it to 30 years.
