Residents hear Monroe Energy’s plans after thousands of gallons of gas leaked from its tank farm

Representatives of Monroe Energy MIPC, during a special informational meeting held Feb. 4, said the company is in the process of executing a remediation plan at the Chelsea Tank Farm following a 378,000-gallon gasoline leak from Tank 708 that occurred in December 2025.

The meeting included ongoing recovery efforts, and full explanation of steps taken to date.
