ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Opening statements began Tuesday in the trial of Jamie Busch, who is accused of killing her sister.
Police say Jamie dumped the body of Penny Busch in the Genesee River after strangling her to death in her home in Honeoye Falls in October of 2024.
Jamie faced charges of murder and tampering with evidence. Investigators say the two lived together, and say the killing stemmed from a fight between them.
