LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – The Iowa Attorney General’s Office is reviewing a Marion police officer-involved shooting that killed an 18-year-old man last week, after a conflict of interest prevented the Linn County Attorney’s Office from handling the case. Saber Bernard died in the shooting.
Linn County Attorney Nick Maybanks said the conflict involves an employee in his office who is related to another Marion police officer.
