Just a few days after Houston’s only Alamo Drafthouse shuttered, the space is getting a second life.
On Tuesday, Feb. 10, Round Rock-based first-run cinema brewery chain Flix Brewhouse announced that it was acquiring four dine-in theater locations in Texas that were previously run by Triple Tap Ventures, an Alamo Drafthouse franchisee. Headlining the acquisition is the former Alamo theater at LaCenterra in Cinco Ranch near Katy. The other locations are in West El Paso, East El Paso, and Lubbock.
“This acquisition is a natural extension of who we are and what we believe in,” Chance Robertson, Chief Executive Officer of Flix Brewhouse, said in a statement. “Cinema success today means creating better experiences. We’re grateful to the entire Triple Tap team for their work in cultivating these moviegoing communities, and we’re honored to carry that legacy forward.”…
