63 stops, 3 arrests, made in recent Brown County Seat Belt Task Force deployment

(WFRV) – The Green Bay Police Department says the numbers are in from last week’s deployment of the Seat Belt Task Force in Brown County.

According to a release, the Seat Belt Task Force was deployed throughout Brown County on Thursday, February 5, and resulted in several stops, citations, warnings, and arrests.

The following number of stops, citations, warnings, and arrests were said to be made during the Seat Belt Task Force’s deployment:

  • Total stops – 63
  • Seat belt citations – 23
  • Seat belt warnings – 4
  • Other citations – 44
  • Other warnings – 39
  • Warrant arrests – 3

Officials say the other citations and warnings were given out for speeding, registration, and equipment, with these stops leading to the mentioned warrant arrests.

The Seat Belt Task Force deployment is said to be a multi-jurisdictional, grant-funded effort that aims to help reduce dangerous driving behaviors on the roadways while also educating drivers on safe driving practices.
