Campus heated up this week with temperatures rising into the upper 50s, and with it so did crime – literally.
On Feb. 5, Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a reported fire on the seventh floor of Sandoz Residence Hall. The fire occurred around 8:30 p.m. and caused all the residents of Sandoz to evacuate.
According to UNLPD, a student had lit a candle on a desk before exiting the room. When the student returned, there was a significant amount of smoke and a small fire coming from the room. The majority of the damage was contained in the student’s room…
