LUBBOCK, Texas — Following his decision to become the next head football coach at UT-Permian Basin, the Lubbock Christian School community came together to honor the impact Chris Softley made as its head coach.
During over a decade stint leading the Eagles, Coach Softley captured two TAPPS State Championships, including one this past season, and racked up numerous wins for the blue and yellow.

Despite all the hardware Softley-led squads brought home over the years, he said his reason for coaching goes far beyond success on the field. “We say all the time, life’s all about relationships. At the end of it all, trophies, medals and rings, they collect rust and dust. It is so special to win football games with people you love and trust.”…
