12-foot great white shark tracked off Louisiana coast

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A 12-foot great white shark has been tracked off the Louisiana coast, according to new data from the nonprofit research group OCEARCH.

The shark, named Ernst, pinged in the Gulf on Jan. 30 near the Chandeleur Islands east of New Orleans, according to OCEARCH’s public tracker.
