Middletown man wanted in Washington, D.C., fatal shooting caught on Rose Circle, marshals say

MIDDLETOWN — A Middletown man wanted in a fatal shooting in Washington, D.C., was apprehended Tuesday, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

Tyjuan Bazemore, 35, is accused of shooting and killing a woman on 16th Street Northwest on Feb. 2, the U.S. Marshals Service said. The D.C. Superior Court then issued an arrest warrant on Feb. 5 for Bazemore, and U.S. Marshals Service investigators developed information that he had fled to Connecticut.

The U.S. Marshals Service Connecticut Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force and Middletown Police Department apprehended Bazemore on the 100 block of Rose Circle in Middletown Tuesday.
