Slight improvements, dip seen in Beaverton, Sherwood and Tigard-Tualatin school districts’ grad rates

Gradation rates rose — and in one case dipped slightly — from the previous year in three eastern Washington County school districts. Still, all remained higher than the state average for the Class of 2025.

Data released Jan. 29 by the Oregon Department of Education show 83% of seniors in the 2024-25 school year earned diplomas within four years.

In the Beaverton, Tigard-Tualatin and Sherwood school districts, increases in graduation rates ranged from a 1-percentage-point increase to almost a 1-percentage-point decrease.

Of all three districts, Sherwood continued to dominate the pack in ensuring a large number of students graduating on time, weighing in with a 96.7% rate for the 2024-25 year, compared to 96.5% for the previous school year…
