Hiker discovers remains of Damon Lee Petrie, 60, who had been missing since mid-December; cause of death pending
Authorities say the body of a 60-year-old Eugene man missing since mid-December has been located.
A hiker found the body of Damon Lee Petrie near Mill Creek Drive and Highway 66 on Saturday, Feb. 7, according to a Jackson County Sheriff’s Office news release.
The medical examiner with the sheriff’s office scientifically identified the body as that of Petrie, the sheriff’s office press release said.
