93-Year-Old pedestrian struck, killed in Liliha crosswalk

LILIHA, Hawaii (Island News) – A pedestrian has died after a collision occurred on North Kuakini St. in the Liliha area Wednesday morning.

The collision occurred at approximately 6:52 a.m. when a 67-year-old driver was turning left from a driveway when he struck a 93-year-old woman who was crossing North Kuakini St. in a marked crosswalk with the walk signal illuminated.

As a result of the collision, the 93-year-old woman was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. It was later pronounced that she had succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead…
