Back-To-Back Carport Infernos Rattle Quiet Canton Complex

Two nights, two carport fires, and a whole lot of nerves. Residents at Lake Cable Village Apartments in Canton say they are on edge after blazes ripped through covered parking areas on back-to-back days, destroying multiple vehicles but, fortunately, not injuring anyone. Her fiancé, Alfred Tesch, said he believes whoever is responsible is targeting carports, and that neighbors are increasingly worried about what could happen next. Several residents said losing their vehicles has left them scrambling for rides while they navigate insurance claims and repairs.

Video Shows Extent Of Damage

Tenants said the popping sounds, flying sparks, and fast-moving flames made the scene especially terrifying. Many are now demanding that complex management explain what is happening and step up with help and compensation where it applies.
