Calvert Police Arrest 20-Year-Old Man Following Investigation Into 7-Eleven Skimming Devices

CALVERT COUNTY, Md. – The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), in coordination with federal and regional law enforcement partners, has arrested Becam CiuCiu, 20 of Baltimore, MD, following an extensive, multijurisdictional investigation into the installation of illegal “skimming devices” at retail locations throughout Maryland.

Since October 2025, CCSO deputies have investigated multiple incidents involving skimming devices discovered on point-of-sale pin pads at 7-Eleven stores in Calvert County. Skimming devices are used to unlawfully capture debit and credit card information and associated PIN numbers, allowing suspects to create counterfeit cards and fraudulently obtain cash and merchandise.

Through coordinated investigative efforts, surveillance review, interagency collaboration, and the execution of search warrants, investigators identified Becam CiuCiu as a suspect responsible for installing skimming devices at numerous 7-Eleven locations across multiple Maryland jurisdictions.
