New York Attorney General Letitia James announced a settlement on Wednesday with a gun accessory manufacturer whose detachable magazine lock was used on the rifle in the 2022 racist mass shooting at a Buffalo supermarket.
Georgia-based Mean Arms will pay $1.75 million to victims’ families, injured individuals and other survivors of the attack. The company will also permanently stop selling its detachable magazine lock, known as the MA Lock, in New York.
