Mayor Kelly interview: ‘We don’t want any’ nationalized ICE enforcement in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly says the city has not conducted any federal immigration raids and does not want nationalized ICE enforcement in the city, emphasizing that community trust remains a priority for local law enforcement.

Kelly made the comments during an interview Wednesday morning on ARC Chattanooga, one day after he and Police Chief John Chambers addressed concerns about immigration enforcement at a city council meeting.
