NEWTON FALLS, Ohio (WJW) – A northeast Ohio woman said “of course he didn’t answer” after calling her husband to share the news that they’d won $300,000.
According to an Ohio Lottery media release, the woman ultimately has her husband to thank though for the big win.

Lottery officials said, he received several scratch-offs for his birthday and won $150. He decided to cash in the winning tickets and buy some more tickets.
“The retailer was out of his wife’s favorite $10 $500,000 Cashword, so he decided to get her four of the $5 Special Edition Cashword Scratch-Offs instead,” stated the release. “She scratched off her tickets while he was out with friends later that night and was shocked to see that the first ticket she played was a winner – a BIG winner.”…
