Pet exposed to rabid skunk in Anderson County

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – The South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH) said a skunk tested positive for rabies in Anderson County.

The skunk was reportedly found near 1st Avenue and Round Tree Lane in Starr. The skunk was submitted for testing on Monday February 9, and was confirmed to have rabies on February 10.

Officials said one dog was exposed and has been quarantined…
