Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind will supply the U.S. Air Force with up to $15 billion in items over the next four years under a new contract.
According to a Department of War notice Monday, the contract is part of the federal government’s AbilityOne program, which provides employment and opportunities for people who are blind or have significant disabilities.
The Talladega-based institute will provide various tools, parts, materials, and equipment for the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia.
