‘Imminent Danger of Death’ Massachusetts Police Officer Justified in Shooting Carjacker

Shots were fired by a police officer in Massachusetts, so a routine investigation ensued. The officer stopped an alleged carjacker on a multi-city crime rampage. He even managed to take control of a garbage truck, putting the community in danger.

The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Admilson Vizcaino, terrorized drivers and residents during a multi-city crime rampage across Middle Sex County. Things escalated as he stole a Chevrolet SUV from a gas station around 12:45 PM.

Police officers failed to initiate a traffic stop 14 minutes after the incident. Around 2 PM, the suspect was linked to shop lifting at another gas station, but got away for hours. He traveled from Malden to Everett, then crashed the stolen SUV near Encore Boston Harbor.

Vizcaino tried to gain access to other cars in traffic before climbing into a garbage truck at a red light. Police officers rescued the driver before Vizcaino took off. He struck light poles and fire hydrants and entered the sidewalk…
