One person arrested following police chase in Indiana

INDIANA — A man was arrested early Thursday morning after allegedly leading Fort Wayne police on a pursuit through downtown that ended in crashes involving another vehicle and multiple light poles.

Billy Ray Guerrero, 26, is charged with Level 6 felony resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, misdemeanor leaving the scene of a property damage accident and a prior operating while intoxicated conviction.

According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, an officer spotted Guerrero driving recklessly around 5:30 a.m. on South Clinton Street near East Superior Street. Police said Guerrero ran a red light and nearly collided with other vehicles before the officer attempted a traffic stop…
