Des Moines Public Schools is pleased to welcome new principals at three elementary schools for the 2026-27 school year. Jennifer Krieger, Sarah Grady, and Tom Bartello all have experience working in leadership roles guiding schools in the district.
“Jennifer, Sarah, and Tom are trusted leaders who know our district, our families, and what it takes to support students every day,” said Interim Superintendent Matt Smith. “Each brings a strong track record of instructional leadership, relationship-building, and a commitment to equity. We are excited to see them step into these roles and continue strengthening the school communities they serve.”
