Woman charged with murder in December shooting death

MINNEAPOLIS — A Hopkins woman is now behind bars after evading an arrest warrant for at least a month in connection with a fatal shooting late last year in Minneapolis.

Champaine Mack, 36, was taken into custody Tuesday evening, stemming from the Dec. 10 shooting in Uptown.

According to the complaint filed Jan. 9 in Hennepin County, prosecutors charged Mack with second-degree murder in the death of another woman, who officers reportedly found unresponsive and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest…
