41 new foods coming to the Houston rodeo this year, from Dubai chocolate to cheese on a stick

Cheese on a stick with Takis. Brisket cheese-curd tacos. Dubai chocolate funnel cake fries.

Those are some of the new foods we’ll see at the Houston rodeo this year, which runs March 2 to 22. From deep-fried carnival classics to fine dining, rodeo fare is indulgence at its finest.

The rodeo will debut a new on-site fine dining restaurant 1932 Cattleman’s Club from Fertitta Entertainment, which replaces Berg Hospitality’s The Ranch. Fertitta Entertainment will also debut Chute 32, a quick-service restaurant outside the East VIP Club entrance and north of 1932 Cattleman’s Club. That menu will include wagyu on a stick, lobster rolls, the “midnight cowboy dog,” smoked brisket nachos and a loaded potato. There is one new vendor, Mama Tina’s Gumbo…
