WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The Sedgwick County Zoo welcomed 702,401 visitors in 2025, marking the second-highest attendance in the facility’s history, CEO Scott Newland said during his annual update at the Sedgwick County Commission meeting on Wednesday.
The attendance figure represents the zoo’s strongest year since 2016, when more than 700,000 visitors came to see the new elephant exhibit. Newland credited December’s favorable weather conditions for helping push attendance past the 700,000 mark.
