NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – New Orleans parade-goers might need to keep a closer eye out for parking signs and stripes, as the city initiates a crackdown on illegal parking.
Mayor Helena Moreno’s office said the city towed 207 vehicles and booted another 106 last weekend. Press secretary Jonah Gilmore described the booting as an “escalation.”
“The city is stepping up its enforcement of illegal parking and unpaid tickets more broadly in 2026,” Gilmore said in a statement. “We are deploying more booting crews and working to boot individuals with significant numbers of unpaid tickets.”…
