Blazing Bird Plots Second Aurora Coop on Mississippi Avenue

Blazing Bird is looking to double down in Aurora, with a permit application in the works for a space in a shopping plaza at 15064 E Mississippi Ave. If the project gets the green light and opens, it would mark the Nashville-style chicken chain’s ninth location overall and its second in Aurora. An official opening date has not been announced.

The permit application flags the 15064 E Mississippi Ave plaza as the intended site, according to What Now Denver. That report notes that Blazing Bird has been expanding quickly along the Front Range and that the Mississippi Avenue address appears on the filing.

Owner Artem Muradyan debuted Blazing Bird in Arvada in 2021 and has steadily built out the concept since then, according to 303 Magazine. The company’s locations page lists outposts in Arvada, Englewood, downtown Denver, Lakewood, Westminster, and an Aurora shop on East Colfax, a lineup that charts the chain’s spread across the metro area, per Blazing Bird.

What to expect from the menu

The menu at Blazing Bird revolves around Nashville hot chicken, served in formats like sandwiches, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and a spicy Caesar option. Diners pick from six heat levels, and the top-tier “Blazing” level has historically come with a waiver for those brave enough to try it, as noted by Westword.

Halal certification and outreach
