Police looking for a suspect after an Arvada hit-and-run

DENVER (KDVR) — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run, according to a post on X from the Arvada Police Department.

On Monday, around 6:54 a.m., Arvada officers responded to the area of West 64th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard after reports were made about a man found lying on the road.

Investigators determined that the man was riding a bike when he was hit by a vehicle that then fled the area.

Police confirmed that the suspect vehicle is a red 2005-2010 Volkswagen Jetta or Passat that is missing the plastic VW emblem, which was found on the road, and the front right headlight was out. Police also said that the vehicle might have a dented hood, broken windshield and broken or missing grille pieces…
