Eugene police investigate Churchill High student hospitalizations

EUGENE, Ore. – Emergency responders rushed to Churchill High School after a distressing incident left two students hospitalized. Fire crews and police confirmed their presence at the scene on Monday, but the cause of the medical emergencies remains undisclosed due to privacy rights.

Students at the school speculate that the incident may be drug-related. One parent took the opportunity to caution her children against consuming anything not from home, the cafeteria, or purchased from a store.

“I know, you know, there’s some, some things that can be, you just have to be in the vicinity of it,” said parent Nicole Renee. “And there’s just airborne, you can get it. Um, some of them are contacts. Some of them are, you know, you put it in a drink and it, you know, dissolves. There’s, I know there’s a lot of different modalities.”…
