LEXINGTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) – A collision with a pickup truck and dump truck caused an overturn, entrapment, and serious injuries, the Stark County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
The crash happened on OH-225 between US-62 and Armour Street NE in Lexington Township on Thursday afternoon.
The preliminary investigation revealed the pickup truck was heading southbound on OH-225 when it drove left of center and struck a dump truck that was heading northbound, SCSO stated.
SCSO said the dump truck overturned and spilled sand across the road.
The Alliance Fire Department said their crews worked together to extricate the drivers.
