COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The Fifth Circuit solicitor’s office announced the sentencing Thursday.
Johnny Fletcher Jr. pleaded guilty to murder in the death of 32-year-old Nicholas Bonepart on Feb. 10. He was sentenced to 40 years in the South Carolina Department of Corrections by Judge Christopher D. Taylor.
The Columbia Police Department responded to a shots-fired call on Wavelry Street on Aug. 5, 2023. Officers arrived and found Bonepart, who had been shot and was unresponsive in the driver’s seat of his vehicle. EMS pronounced Bonepart dead at the scene…
