GRAND RAPIDS, MI – After nearly two years of battling the city over a water main break that flooded his home in 2024, Grand Rapids resident Larry Gibbs is feeling so numb that he’s ready to move away from the city he grew up in.
Gibbs is one of 13 homeowners set to receive a combined $195,000 payout from the city after their homes were damaged by the June 13, 2024 water main break that flooded a neighborhood on the city’s southeast side.
