Man sentenced to 35 years for leading Jacksonville drug ring, 2023 I-95 drive-by shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Nathaniel Hatcher III, 30, of Jacksonville, was sentenced to 35 years in federal prison for leading a drug trafficking organization that distributed marijuana, laundered millions of dollars and carried out a brazen drive-by shooting on I-95 in 2023, federal prosecutors said.

U.S. District Judge Harvey Schlesinger also ordered forfeiture of $2.2 million, the proceeds of the conspiracy. Hatcher pleaded guilty in September 2025, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
