Demolition starts for Owosso building

OWOSSO, Mich. (WNEM) — The Shiawassee County Land Bank Authority started the demolition of the former cold storage building at 201 Robbins St. on Feb. 5.

“The building has been long out of use and had become an ongoing community concern,” Greg Brodeur, chair of the Shiawassee County Board of Commissioners and a member of the land bank board, said.

The Robbins St. project has $129,800 in funding and is one of the five blight remediation projects being managed by the Shiawassee County Land Bank Authority for the current funding round, worth a total of $655,170…
