Newly released records show a former University of Texas professor sought financial support from convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein for a campus conference on sexual consent, according to documents made public this week.
The records reveal that Professor Thomas Hubbard requested up to $20,000 from Epstein’s foundation in 2015 to help fund the event while he was teaching at the University of Texas at Austin. The documents, which surfaced through recently released Epstein-related files, show the request was made on university letterhead as part of outreach for conference funding.
