St. Paul to require agents to display ID; mask ban expected next

The St. Paul City Council is expected to take a final vote next Wednesday on an ordinance to prevent federal law enforcement from wearing masks in the city.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has argued that agents wear them to prevent doxxing.

Residents called on federal agents to unmask during a public hearing on the proposed ordinance on Wednesday. It would ban face coverings or “personal disguise that conceals or obscures facial identity” during law enforcement duties.
