State of Colorado Seizes Car Dealership After 92% of the Vehicles It Sold Didn’t Have Titles

The State of Colorado seized a Fort Lupton car dealership after investigators found that it had sold dozens of vehicles without titles. The authorities caught the dealership when numerous customers were unable to complete the registration of their vehicles.

The Colorado Department of Revenue seized the car dealership, Off-Road Automotive, because it lacked titles for 48 of the 52 vehicles it sold between Dec. 4, 2024, and Aug. 13, 2025. That’s a little over 92%, folks.

Despite lacking vehicle titles, several customers continued to make payments on the cars they purchased. Unfortunately, they have been legally unable to drive them.

One of the scammed customers speaks out

One of those customers, Mindy Gomer, told 9 News that the situation has created “lots of stress.” She and her fiancé, Brian Martin, bought two trucks from Off-Road Automotive last August…
