High-speed chase through Albuquerque ends with driver arrested

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A street racing crackdown last weekend led to 42 citations and one felony arrest across the metro area.

Albuquerque police say a red Ford Mustang, with fake plates, fled from officers at over 100 mph on I-25. The suspect was stopped and arrested for aggravated fleeing with help from the Air Support Unit and local agencies.

Officers say they also dispersed a large group of street racers near the Costco on Renaissance. Police say a blue Dodge Charger fled a traffic stop, and a warrant is being prepared for the driver…
