An adult man’s body was pulled from the Columbia River on Wednesday afternoon near the Camas power lines by Lady Island, according to local authorities. Multnomah County deputies were called to the area just before 1:30 p.m., and responding crews recovered the person from the water. Officials have released few details so far while the Multnomah County Medical Examiner prepares to examine the remains.

Deputies with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office located the body in the stretch of river near the Camas power lines and transported it to Chinook Landing so the medical examiner could take custody.
