PHOENIX — Nearly two years after 38-year-old Mark Anthony Montaño was found dead outside a West Phoenix apartment complex, police said they have arrested a suspect in the case.

Montaño was discovered in November 2024 by a dumpster near an apartment complex close to Indian School Road and 55th Avenue. Phoenix police said he died from asphyxiation. An orange-colored safety vest was wrapped around Montaño’s neck, and a plastic bag was found in his throat, according to court documents…
