Early morning collision in Spokane Valley leaves two injured

SPOKANE VALLEY – Two passengers have been left injured after a personal injury collision occurred Feb. 12, 2026. According to a press release from the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the crash happed at 3:08 a.m. on State Route 290, east of Pines.

WSP reported that the vehicle lost control and struck a dirt embankment. The vehicle, a blue 1990 Ford Taurus, came to rest facing southwest. The cause of the collision was attributed to speed and driving under the influence, with drugs or alcohol involved.

Kane M. Jones, 22, from Spokane, was identified as the driver. He was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt. Charges against him are still under investigation…
