HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Some coconut tree mounds along Kuhio Beach have their roots exposed and are spotty with sand patches. It’s one of the focuses of the the latest Waikiki improvement project.
Meghan Moriarty is visiting from Cape Cod. It’s her first time in Waikiki. When asked what she thought of the sidewalk conditions, she said, “I think it’s beautiful… I do like this walking path. I think it’s very nice.”
While visitors like Moriarty find the sidewalks satisfactory, city leaders and the Waikiki Business Improvement District want the area to be picture perfect…
