Bishop Joseph Brennan to visit, celebrate mass at California City ICE facility

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Bishop Joseph Brennan is set to visit and celebrate mass for detainees at the Immigration Customs Enforcement detention facility in California City next week.

Joseph Brennan, the leader of the Diocese of Fresno, will celebrate mass with detainees at the facility Monday morning, according to a release from church officials.

Part of Brennan’s visit will be used to “promote human dignity, accompaniment, and restorative justice across the state,” the diocese said in a statement.

The ICE detention facility in California City is the largest in the state.
