The California Highway Patrol (CHP), San Gorgonio Pass Area, announces a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Sobriety Checkpoint to be held on Friday, Feb. 13, in an unincorporated area of Riverside County. The checkpoint will be operational from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
The sobriety checkpoint will be staffed by CHP Officers trained in detecting alcohol and/or drug-impaired drivers. Officers will also be equipped with state-of-the-art hand-held breath testing devices, which accurately measure the blood alcohol concentration of suspected drunk drivers.
Offenders will be processed at the checkpoint and booked at either the Southwest Detention Facility or the Larry D. Smith Detention Facility…
