HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Solid Waste Disposal Authority of Alabama (SWDA) and the Recycling Alliance of North Alabama (RANA) are teaming up with the City of Huntsville and Madison County to collect recyclables this Friday, February 13.
Residents who receive 2nd-week RANA recycling service are asked to place their carts at the curb before 7 a.m., keeping them at least 5 feet away from other obstacles. City and county sanitation trucks will collect the materials, which will then be transported by SWDA to its processor in Chattanooga.
“Public Works is always happy to help with SWDA’s collections if the need arises,” Public Works Director Chris McNeese said. “We will have trucks operating on Friday to pick up recyclables residents place on the curb for collection.”…
