Syracuse probes tenant complaints of infestations, no water and heat at apartment building

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Nob Hill Apartments, the largest apartment complex in Syracuse, is facing foreclosure with more than $50 million owed on the property, adding new uncertainty for hundreds of residents as the city continues legal action over code violations at the complex.

City leaders said oversight will continue at the property as the legal process moves forward. The complex, once referred to as “Snob Hill” because of how exclusive and nice it was, has drawn increased attention from city code enforcement as owners move through foreclosure proceedings.
